Trial HSC Exam (Modern History & Mathematics Advanced and Standard)
September 4, 2023 @ 9:00 am - 12:15 pm
HSC Trial Exams Start: 9.15am
Mathematics Advanced (3hrs)
Mathematics Standard (2.5hrs)
Modern History (3hrs)
Please note that on the days when you do not have an exam, you do not need to come to school. Normal classes ARE NOT running during the Trial HSC exam period.
Please take careful note of the starting time. If you are not in the room on time, the exam will start without you. Please take everything you will need for the exam into the Hall when you arrive so that the exam can begin on time.
If you are sick or otherwise unable to attend, you will need a medical certificate or police report explaining your absence. If your absence is explained, you will receive an estimate based on your current ranking. If your absence is not explained, then you will receive 0 for your exam.
Remember, you can only take the items into an exam that are allowable by NESA. The exact guidelines for equipment can be found here: Exam equipment list | NSW Education Standards
However, all Biology students are expected to be at school next Thursday, and Modern History students are expected to be at school next Friday. These extra sessions with your teachers are intended to help you finish the course content before your Trial exams and are very valuable learning opportunities.
You are most welcome to come to school on days when you don't have exams, and stay at school after exams if you find it easier to study at school. Your teachers will generally be available during normal class times if you want to catch up with your teachers and ask questions before the exam.
You are allowed to leave school after your exams, but need permission to do so. Your parents have been sent a permission form to fill out, so if you want to be able to leave school after exams, make sure they fill it out for you!
If you have any questions about the HSC Trials, please feel free to ask.
