On Tuesday, 2 April, 70 students from Parkes Christian School Years 3 – 10, attended the TAFE NSW Netball Schools Cup along with Miss Bolton, Mr Denmead, Mrs Pepper and Mrs Wilson. Teams played up to 6 games each against other schools from Parkes, Condobolin and West Wyalong. All students played extremely well and showed high levels of endurance, sportsmanship and skill. The 9/10 boys team were most impressive with their undefeated winning streak on the day which now advances them on to phase two of the Schools Cup in Orange on Thursday, 8 August. Congratulations to those boys for playing so well as a team and setting a great example of what sportsmanship looks like. We look forward to seeing what you will accomplish in Orange later in the year.
Thank you to all the parents who attended the day to cheer on our students and special thanks to Hayley Ballantyne for all the beautiful photos that were captured of our students playing on the day. Special mention goes to Ryan Withers and Bellah Hewitt for cleaning up the mess that was left by all schools at the end of the day. What a wonderful example you are to others. Thanks again to everyone involved for making it a fantastic day had by all.
Congratulations to the following teams who will be advancing to phase two of the Schools Cup competition.
