2024 has been a huge year for PCS Year 8 student Annie Teague.
The talented lawn bowler has already had a year to remember and we haven’t even made it to the end of Term 2.
In April, Annie won the Bowls NSW Girls Under 15s State Championships, making her State Junior Champion. This was soon followed by a win in the Zone 4 Junior Fours and selection in the NSW Junior Blues Gold Squad which features Under 18s players that will represent NSW at different tournaments throughout the year.
However, the biggest achievement for Annie so far came this week as she represented NSW in the Under 18s Girls Singles at the Australian Open on the Gold Coast.
Annie played incredibly well, winning her first three games to qualify for the Quarter Finals, which she then won 21-15.
In the semi finals she unfortunately lost a close match, but this result saw her finish in the Top 4 Under 18s players in Australia – an amazing achievement for someone so young!
Well done Annie, PCS is very proud of your achievements and we look forward to more to come!
