There was a mixture of nervous energy and excitement as Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 stepped off the bus at the Forbes Town Hall, ready to perform in the Eisteddfod.
Our students looked fabulous in their winter uniforms, with their hair all neat and tidy…thanks parents!
The first section in the Eisteddfod was the Infants Percussion Group. Each of our classes performed and Kindergarten Cockatoos came first place! Kindergarten Kookaburras, Year 1 and Year 2 all gained a Highly Commended in this section.
Next was the Infants School Choir Group. We were up against two other schools and Parkes Christian School won this section. We were so proud of the students they sang beautifully. The first song they sang was ‘Jesus Strong and Kind’ and the second was ‘Behold What Manner of Love’. We sang the second song in a round.
Congratulations to all the K-2 students, you were all amazing!!!
And a BIG thank you to Mrs Georgia Mayo who helped all the classes prepare and perform on the day. Thank you for sharing your gifts, talents and passion for music with all the students in K-2!
