On Tuesday, 5 December, Primary students and families gathered in the Hall to celebrate 2023.
Our Year 6 dancers led the audience with confidence through the worship song ‘As the World Shakes’ and the K-2 students acted out the nativity scene while they sang with gusto ‘Happy Birthday Jesus’.
Students were recognised and celebrated in individual class awards as well as across different learning areas including English, Mathematics and the Creative Arts. Athleticism and sportsmanship were also recognised across the K-6 student body.
Awards were given not only for achievements at school but also recognised the wonderful achievements of students in the wider community.
This year’s Harris-Milling Award went to Mrs Mayo for her creative work in every class from K-6. Mrs Mayo brought her musical prowess instructing students in percussion, singing and drama.
The Primary students were a fabulous audience cheering their peers on who won awards and celebrating the new student leadership of 2024 with thunderous applause.
Congratulations to our 2024 Primary Captains: Peter McIntyre and Nahla Hennessy and our Vice-Captains: Lachlan Watt and Ainslee Gemmell.
Congratulations to the 2024 Primary House captains; Endeavour (Lions): Oden Greef and Ethan Drew, Discovery (Eagles): Ciane Marks and Edwin Lacey, Endurance (Sharks): Rafa Thomson and Bailey Wynstra.
