I am pleased to announce that over the holiday period we have completed work on our car park extension. The new car park is ready for use but comes with some changes to parking procedures.
The new car park allows for one way traffic only. All parking will be 45 degree nose in. The nose in angled parking will allow for greater visibility of pedestrians who are using the footpath and new center pedestrian strip. Angled parking will also result in less wear and tear on the blue metal portion of the car park. Line markings have been completed however we are still waiting on signage to be installed. There are two designated disabled parking spots which will be signposted shortly.
From Monday of next week please follow the new procedures as you drop off and pick up your children from school. PCS staff will primarily be using the back car park, allowing parents to use the bays closest to the school office. We will have traffic marshals out on Monday in high vis vests helping direct traffic for the first few days. A video will be shared on Facebook over the weekend giving you a run through of the new car park.
Once the base was laid, PCS staff completed the rest of the project through volunteer labour. What a great team we have here! Thank you so much. This was just one of many projects completed by staff throughout the holidays, which included painting building exteriors, concreting and plenty of gardening!
Thanks everyone and see you all on Monday ready for a great term!
