This year saw the return of the Parkes Christian Schools Travel Expo, except with a twist. Year 8 students were asked to create a website that advertised a location from around the globe, delving into how our world is interconnected. Students were placed in groups and given questions to research. Learning-at-home required students to develop remote teamwork, using the collaborative tools within the G-suite of applications. This year saw groups taking us to Paris, Nuremberg, Auckland, Palawan, and Hawaii.
Here are a couple of examples of the websites developed by the students.
Nuremberg, Germany – by Wanderlust Travel: Jesse Cartwright, Arabella Kite, and Georgina Greenland https://sites.google.com/parkescs.nsw.edu.au/wanderlust
