Week 3 saw the return of Kindergarten to face-to-face teaching. It has been a delight to have Kindergarten back in the classroom keen to share holiday stories and catch up with their friends.
Kinder kick started their week by learning some new Jolly Phonics sounds as well as revising the content they learnt while completing At-Home learning. Once again we are so grateful for the effort made by parents and caregivers during this time.
In Maths we have been revising addition and subtraction. To do this we have been using tens frames and concrete materials to help solve the problems. In Science we completed an experiment to show the water cycle as all living things need water to live. In Art we made flowers to show that living things grow.
During our Health lessons this term we have been learning all about keeping ‘Active and Healthy’. Kinder practised sorting food into healthy and unhealthy foods as well as planning a healthy lunch. We had lots of fun and there were some delicious meal ideas.
What a wonderful first week back for face-to-face teaching it has been! We can’t wait to see all the great things to come for Kinder this term.
