Danielle and Dylan on the podium in Toowoomba!
Danielle and Dylan were in Toowoomba, QLD last weekend for Round 1 and 2 of the Australian Off road Championships (AORC). Year 7 student, Danielle McDonald has recently been named in the Yamaha MXstore Ballards Offroad Team! As part of her team responsibilities, Danielle visited a local primary school to present 270 kids with signed posters and talk to them about enduro racing!
On the Saturday, Danielle had a flying start to her first national event of the season, dominating the Junior Girls category to win every race and secure her first win in the national championship. Danielle finished an incredible 23rd outright on the junior track. If she were allowed to enter the boys’ category Danielle would have wrapped up 2nd in the J2 category also!
On the Sunday, Danielle continued her fine form, winning 5 out of the 6 races in the Junior Girls category.
Dylan rode incredibly well to secure 3rd place in his category!
Dylan and Danielle will be racing again in a few weeks at Dungog, NSW for round 3 and 4 of the national off road championship. Congratulations on your achievements so far and all the best for the next round.
