On behalf of the PCS P&F committee, I would like to say a huge thank you to the entire PCS community. Thanks to you, we were able to host another fantastic Spring Fair. The weather was (apart from the wind) beautiful and there was a lovely feel about the school on Saturday.
Thank you to people who donated plants, cakes, other baked goods, handicrafts and items for the auction. Thank you to the people who helped run the P & F stalls on the day, your time and efforts were greatly appreciated. Thank you to the community groups who participated in the day and added to the great vibe. Many hours were given before, during and after the Spring Fair, by numerous people. Some people put in an enormous amount of work in order for the Spring Fair to run smoothly.
To our students we would like to say a big thank you. To the young ladies and gentlemen who provided the entertainment, came to help on stalls and most importantly attended the fair with their families and friends. I would personally like to thank two of our high schoolers, who donated a fire pit they had made themselves. Jake and Scott Green spent several hours constructing this awesome pit that was then donated to the auction and raised a significant amount of money for the school.
I would like to thank the rest of the hard-working P & F committee who have worked very hard behind the scenes to pull this off. At the end of last year, we indicated a need to build up the P & F committee so that we could continue working for the school, thank you for helping us do that.
Early indications suggest that this year our Spring Fair has realised over $13,000, money that will now be spent on the school, particularly in the area of extra seating and shade.
Our Dish It Up cookbook has arrived from the printers. We sold a number of copies before and during the fair, but still have some left over. If you have not bought one and would like to, please come into the office and purchase one. A cookbook costs $30 and a bundle including a tea towel is $40.
We have a few leftover items, particularly from the tombola, which will be on sale in the next couple of weeks at school.
We will be holding our monthly P & F meeting on Thursday at 7 pm in the staffroom. We would love to see you there.
