Last week, selected groups from our school participated in the Forbes Eisteddfod.
On Tuesday the Stage 2 students and the 3-12 School Choir attended the Forbes Town Hall. The Choir sang two songs- ‘People Get Ready’ and ‘Consider Christ’ and were awarded 1st Place. A small group of Stage 2 students performed in a percussion band playing ‘I Wanna C-C-C’ and ‘When the Saints’ and were awarded a Highly Commended. The complete Stage 2 class recited two poems ‘Sick by Shel Silverstein’ and ‘The Super Tilting Hurlacoaster by Gareth Lancaster’ and were awarded a Highly Commended.
On Thursday the K-2 students attended the Forbes Eisteddfod. They performed in the Choir section singing ‘Every Move I Make by Hillsong Kids’ and ‘Circle of Friends’ and were awarded Second Place. The Year 2 class recited two poems ‘Wind on the Hill by A.A. Milne’ and ‘The Triantiwontigongolope by C.J. Dennis’.
Congratulations to all students who performed at the Forbes Eisteddfod this year. Thank you to the teachers who helped the students prepare and assisted at the performance. Thank you also to the parents who attended on these days to support our students.
